We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Accountant/Chief Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the company's financial transactions, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking over accounting records and processes from an external accounting office
  • Implementation of accounting and processes into group finance system
  • Maintain all financial records and statement of the company (profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements) and ensure compliancy with local GAAP and IFRS;
  • Oversee the general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
  • Group requirements (accounting standards & policies, best practices…)
  • All legal and tax matters (CIT, VAT, Transfer Pricing).
  • Supervise monthly and yearly closing (intercompany reconciliation), respect deadlines and ensure accurate figures.
  • Coordinate external audit process and cooperate with external tax advisors.
  • Ensure financial security by maintaining relevant internal controls.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts and monitor variances to ensure financial stability and adherence to financial targets.
  • Help other departments to understand and interpret accounting principles.
  • Manage a team of 1 AP specialist.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards and participate in audits, as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written.
  • Extensive experience in international accounting, including knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and multi-currency financial reporting.
  • Target & detail-oriented, self-starter, motivated to deliver impact and value for the organization.
  • Good skills of working with MS Office.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving international accounting standards and propose innovative solutions to complex accounting topics.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
